Two Fewer Episodes Planned for ‘Two and a Half Men’

The CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men” will produce two fewer episodes because of Charlie Sheen’s stint at a rehabilitation center, the program’s executive producer, Chuck Lorre, said.

Warner Brothers Television, which produces “Two and a Half Men,” said the series resumed production last week. In late February, Mr. Sheen, one of the show’s stars, entered rehab for what his spokesman called a “preventative measure.”

“Instead of doing 24 shows this year, we’ll be doing 22,” Mr. Lorre said in an interview Monday. “But 22 is a full order. They had asked us to produce two additional episodes, which we normally do. But we won’t do it this year.” The show is expected to complete production for the season in April.
