a 'po mountaineer barley kept his family fed then one day he was shootin' at some food when up from th' ground come a bubblin' crude. Oil that is! Black gold! Texas tea! Well, first thing ya know, ol' Jed's a millionaire the kin folk say "Jed get away from here" they said "Californy is the place ya oughta be" so they loaded up the truck and mover ta Beverly Hills that is...swimin' pools...movie stars Ole Jed bought a mansion lawdy ain't it swank th' nex' door neighbor is president of th' bank (I forget the rest of the words to the 2nd verse) |
