Default How many have seen celebrities?

I know Lauren has seen Alan Alda, and I've seen William Shatner, Leanord Nimoy, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Nichelle Nichols, and James Doohan (for all you non-trekys; these are all Star Trek cast members).

Me:

Mark-Paul Gosselaar
Candace Cameron
Danny Bonaduce
Jon Provost
Mariette Hartley
Stella Stevens
Bruce Boxleitner

Went to a taping of The Tonight Show in 1998, so I saw Jay Leno, of course, plus Kevin Eubanksand the band, plus announcer Edd Hall. The guests were Whoopi Goldberg and Jon Cryer.

In 2001 I saw a taping of Whose Line is it Anyway, where I saw:

Drew Carey
Ryan Stiles
Colin Mochrie
Wayne Brady
Jeff Davis

Plus, I went to a LHOP cast reunion at the Tombstone Western Film Festival in 2005. Amongst the cast members there:

Melissa Gilbert (Laura Ingalls Wilder)
Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder)
Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson)
Allison Balson (Nancy Oleson)
Lindsay Greenbush (Carrie Ingalls)
Charlotte Stewart (Miss Eva Beadle)
Hersha Parady (Alice Garvey)
Stan Ivar (John Carter)
Pam Roylance (Sarah Carter)
Brian Part (Carl Edwards)

and of course, my wonderful friends:

Brenda & Wendi Turnbaugh (Grace Ingalls)

When I worked at a movie theater, I met then Cleveland Indians David Justice and Brian Anderson. I also met Cleveland native Monica Potter when she viewed the premieres of her movies Head Over Heels and Along Came a Spider.

In real public (not at an event / public function):

Richard Gere at LA International Airport

Paul Giamatti in Downtown Brooklyn

Morgan Spurlock in NYC

Paul Bettany in Downtown Brooklyn

At autograph shows / events / book signings you're better off looking at my celeb. autograph thread. My list is at the start of it:

As Joe said, I had the pleasure of meeting Alan Alda in October of 2007. I've also met Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family, Billy Graham and former Miss Alabama Heather Whitestone, who won Miss America in 1995, the first Miss America winner with a disability.

I hope to attend some conventions and meet more celebs in the future.

just remembered, YEARS AGO (Imust have been about 5 or 6-I'm 53 now) I saw Frank Fontaine. For Lauren and the other "young bucks" out there Frank Fontaine was an actor/comedian/singer who used to do a character named Crazy Guggenhime on "THE JACKIE GLEASON SHOW".

Yes, I was shaking like a leaf! Luckily my friend Brittany agreed to go with me, she took the pictures and kept me from sounding like a bumbling idiot when I finally got to talk to Alan, LOL.

Outside of conventions/appearances/book signings:

Majel Barrett and Richard Kiel a few years ago when I took my family down to visit one of my sisters when she and her family lived in California. My sister shopped at the same grocery store as Barrett.

Juliana Hatfield - She was performing with The Lemonheads at Satyricon in Portland, OR. I was standing behind her when she was in line getting water at the bar and she turned and bumped me and spilled some of her water on me...I never dried that shirt again.

Dawn Wells at Powell Books in Portland, OR(she was there browsing books)

James Doohan at the Sea-Tac International Airport

Are you talking about just seeing somebody BUT not meeting them??

I saw Adam Sandler at O'Hare in 1992.

My sister and I went to the opening of Planet Hollywood in Orlando and saw the following celebrities -

Arnold Schwarzenegger
Maria Shriver
Eunice Kennedy Shriver
Sylvester Stallone
Bruce Willis
Demi Moore
Andre Agassi
Brenden Fraser
Rosie O'Donnell

Geez, and so many others, it's been so long I can't remember who was all there.

We saw Shaquille O'Neal at Planet Hollywood another time.

And I, too, have "seen" many, many, MANY musical acts in concerts. Going to concerts is my thing.

Aw Lauren, I love those pics of you and Alan Alda. He looks like a sweet heart, like he's genuinely happy to meet a fan. Aw.

I haven't technically met any celebrities, but if we're just going by ones we've SEEN in person, then:

Britney Spears
Kanye West (fail)
Rihanna
John Mayer (another fail)
Ben Folds
Jon Stewart
Jim Belushi
Paris Hilton was in Disney World the same time I was in like 05, if that counts haha. I didn't see her but some of the people I was with did. Again, another fail...and I use the term celebrity loosely.

This passed weekend I was at the National Festival Of The West. I saw James Drury, Robert Fulton, Clint Walker. Last year I saw Bruce Dern and I went to shake his hand and he kissed it.
