With so much focus being placed on the current season of American Idol, it’s easy to overlook what some of last year’s contestants are up to in their careers. But we caught up with Anoop Desai on March 18 for the 18th Annual “A Night At Sardi’s” Fundraiser at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and he gave HollywoodLife.com an exclusive sneak preview of his upcoming debut single, “My name!” It won’t be available on iTunes until March 23, but you can hear it here first!

I loveeeeeeeee this song, out of all the albums from the season 8 contestants this is my favorite debue single. It's such an amazing song and he wrote his whole album and payed for it. Anoopy is the best!
