Lets list all the shows that in later seasons brought in "a new kid" or a family had a baby, (that aged 5 years over the summer hiatus!)

The Brady Bunch - Cousin Oliver
The Partridge Family - Ricky, the neighbor kid
The Cosby Show - Olivia, Denise's step-daughter & Cousin Pam
Family Ties - Andrew Keaton was born
Growing Pains - Chrissy Seaver (was born) and Luke
Diff'rent Strokes - Sam
Good Times - Penny adopted by Willona
My Three Sons - Ernie adopted into the family
Who's The Boss - Billy (?)
Step by Step - Lilly born into family
Married With Children- that kid that disappeared (????) after a few eps.

The kid on Married With Children was called Seven

The Waltons - Cousin Rose arrives with grandchildren
Eight is Enough - The Karate Kid comes to like with The Bradfords

All In The Family-Stephanie was addded to the cast when the Stivics left the show.
Archie Bunker's Place-Billie Bunker was added.
Family Matters-3J was added.
