Movie Reviews: The Bounty Hunter

In recent months some websites have been accusing Roger Ebert of becoming overly generous in his reviews of films that many other critics have given the back of their hands.

That criticism could not be applied to his review of The Bounty Hunter, in which Ebert remarks, "I stared with glazed eyes at The Bounty Hunter. Here is a film with no need to exist. Among its sins is the misuse of Jennifer Aniston, who can be and has been very funny, but not in dreck like this."

Likewise Elizabeth Weitzman writes in the New York Daily News, "There are a lot of people who still want to believe that Jennifer Aniston deserves to be a movie star. But frankly, she's giving us very little to work with."

Her co-star, Gerard Butler, does, it would seem.

Amy Biancolli in the San Francisco Chronicle says that Butler "gets his money shot when he emerges wet from the shower. Cue wolf whistle from crowd."

Claudia Puig in USA Today writes that Aniston and Butler "can't seem to muster any believable chemistry. A lot of mugging happens, but no magic."

As for the movie itself, Peter Howell in the Toronto Star sums up the feelings of the majority of critics when he describes it as "a witless waste of celluloid."

I read a bad review about this today but i don't care what the critics say. I'm gonna wait for it to come to video. Jennifer looks hot in the previews i saw. I like that black short skirt she had on. She has nice legs.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Jennifer is hot. I think her best movies are Derailed with Owen Wilson and rapper Xzibit and He's Just Not That Into You. Have you seen those?

Yeah, I saw them both.

Derailed was alright and I wasn't into He's Just Not That Into You at all.

I don't really care for Jennifer Aniston at all, but I do like Gerard Butler, so I'll be seeing this... Most movies I watch I do so because there's someone I like in them, so, as a dedicated fan of Gerard Butler, bad reviews for The Bounty Hunter can't scare me off from seeing it lol...

Gerard Butler is alright. I liked him in Law Abiding Citizen with Jamie Foxx and RockNRolla with Idris Elba. I didn't like that wack movie he did with Hillary Swank called PS I Love You. I wish i hadn't seen that LOL.

He did another movie i liked called Shattered with Pierce Brosnan and Maria Bello(This woman is hot. William H Macy's nerdy ass was lucky to have some sex scenes with her in The Cooler hahahahahahahahahaha. Viggo Mortensen was banging her in A History Of Violence LOL.).
