The Bradys Voted Best TV Family....Do You Agree?
1. The Bradys (The Brady Bunch, 1969–74)
Here’s the story: We’ve all wanted a family like the Bradys. Sure, Mike (Robert Reed) and Carol (Florence Henderson) had six kids sharing one bathroom, and OK, nobody noticed that Tiger vanished after the second season. But they got to do full-blown productions of Snow White in their Astroturfed backyard, had a sassy live-in housekeeper and the ability to overcome problems ranging from identity crises to broken noses in 30 minutes flat. “The Bradys were the last of a genre: a sweet, simple, idealized American family,” says Christopher Knight, who still cherishes his time as middle Brady boy Peter. “I was able to escape into the fantasy of an idyllic family,” he says, adding that his real-life home “was more ‘Hurt Locker’ and less ‘Avatar.’” Which is exactly why we love the Bradys: No matter what our own families were like, this endearingly mild Bunch always made the day more sunshiney. http://www.tvguidemagazine.com/featu...00.html?page=2 |

I grew up with "The Brady Bunch" and was and continue to be a fan of the show. But they don't get my vote for best TV Family. My vote goes to The Waltons.

The Bradys are a great TV family but the Cleavers, Andersons, Nelsons, and The Stones are much better families.

They are indeed a good family, but my vote goes to the Cleavers. Now for the best BLENDED family, yes they were the best, although unrealistic. I come from a blended family and we were in our teens as well when our parents married, but it's still oil and water with us. I don't keep in touch with any of them and I have one REAL BLOOD RELATED sister and we are as close as they come....we had to be to survive that clan! I know that no matter how thin you make a pancake there are still two sides, but trust me when I say we could have made our own reality show called, "Step-family HORRORS!"
