Chuck hits all-time low as daylight savings begins
March 16, 2010 UPDATED: NBC's "Chuck" posted its all-time lowest rating Monday night. With the start of Daylight Savings Time, many 8 p.m. shows tend to dip. Overall broadcast usage dropped 9% during the 8 p.m. hour. "Chuck" (5.8 million viewers, 1.9 adults 18-49 rating) took a rough knock, down 17%. Tweets co-creator Josh Schwartz: "'Chuck' fans, it's time to get organized." ABC didn't get too much traction exposing its own reality hit on "20/20" during this low octane night in the ratings. The two-hour special "20/20: Inside the Bachelor: The Stories Behind the Rose" (8 million, 2.3) revealed some tidbits about the long-running series (average number of contestants each bachelor has sex with: three), though performed somewhat modestly. Fox came out on top with "House" (11.4 million, 4.0) and "24" (9 million, 2.7), both down a tad from last week. CBS was second with "Rules of Engagement" (7.7 million, 2.7) standing on its own while the rest of CBS' lineup aired repeats. Still, those "Two and a Half Men" and "Big Bang Theory" encores generated a 3.8 rating each and won 9 p.m. Despite airing all originals, NBC placed fourth. "Trauma" (5.2 million, 1.5) was up a tenth. "Law & Order" (7 million, 1.8) tied a "Castle" repeat to place second at 10 p.m. On The CW, "Life Unexpected" (2.1 million, 1.0) climbed despite the onset of DST. "Unexpected" unexpectedly posted its best rating among women 18-34 (1.8) since its second episode, climbing 29% from last week's debut 8 p.m. airing. "Gossip Girl" (1.7 million, 1.0) was on par in the adult demo though climbed slightly among young women. http://www.thrfeed.com/2010/03/chuck...st-begins.html |

It's just sad. Last night's show was one of the best. It seems like no matter what, Chuck is destined to have low ratings.
I wish NBC would shop it over to USA. It seems like it would be a perfect fit over there.
