Default The Grass Is Greener - 13/03/70

I think this episode was held back and shown later than when it was made as the b/w sports pictures in the boys room have been replaced by the clown picture and Carol looks like she is wearing a wig.

Mike gets into bed and forgets to switch the bathroom light off!

We see the station wagon enter the drive way and then we get a screen wipe to the kitchen which was rare in TBB.

In the bedroom scene with Carol and Alice when Carol is about to have a hot bath we get to see some decent shots of the chest of drawers in the reflection in the mirror of Carols dressing table. The chest of drawers is in the 'dressing' (?) area behind the screen head board room divider.

Blooper - in the same scene as above Mike walks in and leaves the bedroom door open but it is shut in his close up.

Blooper - there is a boom shadow on the top left of the screen when he starts bringing in groceries.

Mean Marcia refers to Cindy as "Do we have to have the baby here?" when Mike asks if Jan and Cindy can watch.

Mike bangs his hand on the fridge door as he opens the door to get an apron out of a cupboard.

Blooper - When Mike falls to the floor after dropping the bowls Cindy is looking in a direction different to where Alice, Marcia and Jan are looking.

There is no guest cast in this episode and the whole show is set at the Brady house.

Like I mentioned in my last post, things are really tapering off on this page! It really seems like the boom is over! It was really amazing to see one post after another! In any event, I have decided to bring this one to the top to see if I can stimulate some new conversation. I, for one, thought that this episode told a pretty amusing story. What do other fans think?

I think it's always amusing when a character is outside their comfort zone. And of course in this episode both Mike and Carol find themselves outside their comfort zones when they switch responsibilities for a day. Predictably, hilarious results ensue!

In his book, Barry Williams seems to list the episodes in production order and this one was about the 9th filmed. I wonder why they held it over for so long?
