THE DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD DVD Re-released by Synapse

News broke out yesterday that Synapse Films has acquired the film distribution rights for the 1982 slasher film (a.k.a. PRANKS) set to be re-released on DVD sometime at the end of this year! The film will be completely remastered, with those working closely with the remastering process stating that the film print they received may include additional footage never seen by the general public! Special features have not been revealed at this time, but rest assured an update will be posted once they've been announced!

The Dorm That Dripped Blood Blu-ray Coming Up

Fangoria is reporting that, on March 8, Synapse Films will release the 1982 slasher movie The Dorm That Dripped Blood, on a Blu-ray/DVD combo, featuring the uncut director's cut. Synapse's Don May, Jr. explained that this version will include "footage that no one has ever seen before", including "additional sequences of both gore and dialogue," restoring the film to "the most complete version possible."

Special features will include:

* Audio commentary with directors Jeffrey Obrow and Stephen Carpenter
* Featurettes about composer Christopher Young and makeup FX artist Matthew Mungle
* Original theatrical trailer
