Confused Was the Character of Cindy Snow A Big Mistake?

Should they have just said that Chrissy got married or moved out or something and went in a totally new direction instead of bringing in Cindy? She never really meshed well on the show. IMO

No I think under the circumstances they were under with Suzanne suddenly gone from the show, the Producers did the best they could with the Cindy Character.

...and also I don't think they knew if Suzanne was coming back or not. Jennalee was meant to be temporary until they determined the outcome of Suzanne Somers (in the producers' opinion) unreasonable demands. Besides I for one liked the character of Cindy.

Cool

Obviously the producers had some issues with the character since they pushed her into the background and more or less phased her out when they brought in Terri as the third roomate. But like Markaway said Cindy was only a temporary situation anyway due to the uncertainty surrounding Suzanne Somers future on the show. Once that issue was resolved the brought in Terri as the third roomate and moved Cindy into the background and began to slowly phase her out.

Exactly. It was one of those emergency situations where they needed someone FAST because Suzanne's antics had already held up production for too long. The production people were losing lots of money, and ABC was understandably upset as well. I think Jenilee did very well under a lot of pressure and scrutiny, and I don't think she gets fair credit for that. Having said that, Terri's still my favorite of the blond roommates.

Thumbs up

I also liked Cindy, her scenes with Jack were hilarious, in terms of physical comedy!

I think the Cindy character worked very well with Jack. They had some of the funniest scenes together, especially with all the physical comedy. "Double Trouble" with Austin Tripper was definitely one of the funniest episodes of the series.

The reason they replaced Cindy was because she had zero chemistry with Janet. It wasn't believable that her and Janet were close friends. It wasn't really "Three's Company", if the three roommates didn't gel together.

I still believe they should have brought Cindy back for Three's a Crowd. She had much more chemistry with Jack than Vicky did. She even accepted his marriage proposal in one of the episodes. It would have been funny if Larry was forced to move in with them. It definitely would have been "Three's a Crowd".

Yes, Cindy was tall, but I thought it only looked awkward when she stood next to petite Janet. When she interacted with Jack, it wasn't noticable.

I always liked Cindy, too. I have always thought Harrison was a very underrated actress, particularly in comedy. I liked Terri as a character too, though, and kind of wish they would have been able to accomodate four roomates (or at least three roommates and a goofy female neighbor).

Cindy: Jack, I'll be a good wife. I'll give you love and respect and a good home

Jack: I know but you're not pregnant.

Cindy: I'll give you that too.

Jack: You don't understand. You're not already pregnant.

Cindy: (turns to Janet) Talk about lazy!

I liked that too.

I liked Cindy. Her and John were great together and she did pretty well considering she was cast at the last minute. Lana was the one mistake that the producers of 3C made. She had no chemistry with John .

Mine too. I liked Chrissy in the early episodes, but later on she got obnoxious as they made her character dumber...that awful snort that she does gets on my nerves.

You've GOT to be kidding!!

The chemistry between Jack and Cindy was fantastic!!

It's just that it got old to have Cindy be a klutz over and over again so they brought in the more sophisticated Terri and the show should've gone on years longer with Terri if they couldn't just come up with good storylines!
