Fourth season 'American Idol' contestant Constantine Maroulis had a lot to say about the singing competition when he chatted with PopEater at USA Network and Vanity Fair's 2010 Character Approved Awards in New York.

While the 'Rock of Ages' star approves of Ellen DeGeneres as a judge, he believes the show will implode when Simon Cowell leaves after this season. "It's unfortunate. He's a mogul and going to go on to greater and greater things ... but the show is really going to miss him," Maroulis tells PopEater. "I hope they just end it after this year."

You're right Constantine, they should end Idol. There's only so many undiscovered talents out there and I think they've pretty much found all of them already. Time to cal it a day.

The show hit a slump this season, the talent is bad compared to recent seasons.
