The New "Dr. Who" Series To Premiere On BBC America April 17th *The Trailer*
Doctor Who to Premiere April 17 on BBC America
February 26, 2010 | By: Jason Hughes Everything is different, and yet the same, just as we've come to expect with Doctor Who. According to Zap2It, the latest incarnation of the classic sci-fi series will have its American debut Sat., Apr. 17 on BBC America, just two weeks after it premieres in the U.K. Among the changes to the Who reboot include a new star (Matt Smith), a new companion (Karen Gillan, who will play Amy Pond) and a new head writer -- Steven Moffat, who will take over for Russell T. Davies. Moffat has been with the series since 2005. In each of its first four series, Moffat contributed some of the most memorable and lauded episodes. He won the Hugo Award, among other honors, for his first three efforts, including the haunting and well-received episode 'Blink.' That sense of continuity, though, is important in a series known for its sweeping changes, especially coming off of David Tennant's popular four-year run as The Doctor. Taking fans in a new direction under the hands of a familiar Doctor Who collaborator should make the transition that much easier. http://insidetv.aol.com/2010/02/26/d...n-bbc-america/ |

Looking forward to it. Will miss David Tennant though, really enjoyed him as one of the newer Doctors.

Here's the New Doctor Who Trailer
Posted Mar 22nd 2010 by Bob Sassone Recasting Doctor Who must be like recasting James Bond: you have to get it right or serious fans will be really irritated. Here's a look at the new Doctor (Matt Smith) in action. The new season starts Saturday, April 17 on BBC America. You probably can't tell a lot from just a trailer, but what do you think? http://www.tvsquad.com/2010/03/22/he...r-who-trailer/ |
