Exclamation ESPN Suspends "Pardon the Interruption" host Tony Kornheiser for 2 Weeks

ESPN has officially suspended "Pardon the Interruption" host Tony Kornheiser for 2 weeks -- after TK made "hurtful and personal comments" about a female SportsCenter anchor.

The drama began last week on Kornheiser's radio show -- when he commented on an outfit Hannah Storm wore during a recent SC broadcast, saying her "Catholic school plaid skirt" was "way too short for somebody" her age. He also claimed her tight shirt looked like a "sausage casing."

Yesterday, Kornheiser did not appear on PTI -- and now an ESPN executive VP of content John Skipper is finally offering an explanation: "Tony Kornheiser's comments about Hannah Storm were entirely inappropriate."

Skipper added, "Hurtful and personal comments such as these are not acceptable and have significant consequences. Tony has been suspended from PTI for two weeks."

Kornheiser has already issued an apology on his radio show.

ESPN is for the birds. Those people always criticize others all the time. Maybe Tony should have apologized to her but to get suspended is ridiculous. I've heard a lot worse on that network. I hardly ever watch sportscenter anymore...overrated.

I agree with you. I hate ESPN and will only watch it if it's the only station carrying a particular event.

F*ck Tony Kornheiser. Mr wannabe comedian, he has no business being on radio or tv. He should start broadcasting high school sports, that's about where his talent starts... He'd probably f*ck that up too.

I agree, I really can't stand ESPN anchors... I like watching ATH and PTI, but if what Kornheiser did was so unacceptable, why punish him with a two week vacation? Why not get rid of him?

And I gotta ask myself, what the heck WAS Storm thinking when she wore that ridiculous outfit? She wasn't hot 20 years ago (although she used to be an excellent reporter), she sure isn't now! She just looks stupid.

When it comes down to it, Kornheiser was suspended for basically saying what everyone else at ESPN (and those watching on TV) were thinking, but were afraid to say.

But I can't stand ESPN to begin with, I never watch SC unless there's a particular story I wanna hear about (rarely). ESPN anchors are idiots lol

ESPN has also ruined the way the games are played on the field... all these pros who claim that all they want is a ring are full of it...all they want is to be on "Top 10 plays".

I think Hannah's hot, and should wear whatever she wants.
