Default What Did Beaver Say?

In "Substitute Father," Beaver said a bad work that was conveniently drowned out by the school bell. Miss Landers heard it, though, and Beaver got in trouble. Wally went to school in Ward's place since Ward was out of town. The word was so bad that the boys couldn't even say it to June.

I wonder what he said?

I'm sure it was a swear word and I try to read his lips everytime, but who knows. LOL! It was quite funny though, the bell ringing as he was saying it. Imagine Beaver using profanity!

I think thats a mystery that will never be solved. I am surprised they would write an episode like that, but then again every once in a while the show hit you with the unpleasant cold heart facts of life. Also, its not as common as it is now, but people back then did swear.

Hey, what do you expect from a show that showed a toilet tank, had kids smoking a pipe...that show was over the edge!

Yes! And lets not forget about the episode where Beaver was driving in that homemade car without a license.

Leave It To Beaver was definitely the "bad boy" of classic television

Same goes for me with the other kid not being punished, but then again with this show being edited to death then maybe he was punished and we just didn't know it. Maybe it will be different when the DVDs come out.
