I have a vague description of this show, hopefully someone can help. It was a show with a guy and a woman who was foreign, maybe Chinese or Jappanese and they were married. And they had to have the yearly hearing to make sure they were really in love and not just married to keep her in the country. And the only line I can remember is the woman being questioned what her middle name was ans she said some native name, and they asked the guy the same quesion and he said "Betty". Now I know thats not much to go on but maybe someone remembers, I'd say its probably the late 1980s. Thanks for any help. It may have also had this cool house that sat on a hill I cant remember.

You might be thinking of "I Married Dora".
