It's a rare condition in this day and age to read any good news on the Family Matters page. But this is definitely good news. Finally a DVD release after so many years.

Finally, it's going to be on DVD! I am very happy about this. Hopefully, it's the original versions and not syndicated cuts which are probably the only ones I've ever seen. We need the real theme song without edits and not having Urkel fakely put in the first few episodes that he was never truly a part of.

Although, I don't like the box art for the font of Family Matters - it's not the same as in the opening credits? Sorta weird.

Hopefully Step by Step gets released soon too as that was also a WBDTD show.

Excellent news!!!!!!! I have waited for that e-mail from TVShowsonDVD for five years! I never gave up hope. I always told myself if they can release every Full House season then surely FM will be released as well. The cover art is kind of gay but all that matters are the episodes free of the horrid ABC Family, N@N and even TBS and WGN edits!

I think it is time I change my signature.

I'm so excited! But I agree, the cover art is awful. First of all, Steve Urkel is the main focus when he only appeared in 11 of the 22 episodes, and second, the actress who plays Judy in the pilot is on the cover, not the real Judy! Does anyone know wb dvd's email address?

I wish they would choose a better cover art, it is horredous! That doesn't matter, it is finally out after waiting forever!! I bet my entire paycheck that it will sell so well, that a 2nd season will be announced! I already preordered on Amazon!

It is being released by Shout Factory which is usually pretty quick in getting shows out so I think the seasons will come out quickly. If they don't sell good there is always the option of buying them directly from the Shout Factory website. I can't imagine that they wouldn't have good sales since everyone is so excited it is finally being released.
