I dont think Ive ever been more pissed or outraged after seeing an Unsolved Mysteries segment. The interrogators and judge deserve a very special place in hell.

Oh man, If I was him those interrogators would at least be verbally assaulted. It almost makes me want to find them and just verbally destroy them. Those pigs AND the judge should be in jail for life, with Johnny coming to visit them and just toy with them.

It proves there is such a thing as being too nice and cooperative with authority.

Naw, I do not think so. I have had the same feelings at times. However these judges and cops and prosecutors that screwed this young man out of a decade of his life, they are not worth such venom and waste. Pray for them and pray they are better or at least their kids have more honor than they do.

I just rewatched the UM segment and I'm glad to read that Johnny got pardoned.
I even researched outside of the UM segment to see if there was some shred of evidence that Johnny had anything to do with this murder and all they had was the testimony of another mentally deficient man and a confession that he was basically bullied into. It was ridiculous. They just seemed obsessed with wanting to put this poor guy in jail and I can't fathom why. At least he's out now but this whole thing was a miscarriage of justice. |

They wanted it solved quickly and took advantage of a man with a diminished capacity to get a suspect and a conviction. He was an easy scapegoat and they knew that if he proclaimed his innocence, many wouldn't believe him = no real actual policework on their part.

the sad thing is, that people in MO, still think he is guilty. I don't know how that is possible considering a man said he did it. One key fact is, the man mentioned the stun gun. Something that was never released.
The mentally ******** boy failed six tests, but passed one. Oh he is telling the truth. |

Does anyone know how Johnny is today or what he's doing at 47? I hope, at the very least, he was able to return to having somewhat of a normal life. I sure hope locals aren't still harassing him or believing he's guilty. I'm sure his grandma has passed away, but his mom probably is alive, although getting a bit up in years.
p.s. When you think about how much people's ages have changed, it's mind boggling when you realize how long ago these cases really were. I think it's a mental thing for us to still view them as current (both as big fans who've watched them for years, and since they were reran for many years afterwards, up as late as 2007) when they really aren't. UM's heyday was like 17-25 years ago, with some cases profiled, of course, even before that. |
