Cougar Town Fading in the Ratings? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

ABC has scheduled the return of the Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special to air the week before the Academy Awards and plans to give "The Middle" a "Modern Family" lead-in.

The Oprah special will air March 3. On Feb. 17 and Feb. 24, ABC will try out repeats of "The Middle" -- which recently hit a season high in its usual 8:30 p.m. slot -- at 9:30 p.m. after "Modern Family." ABC will air back-to-back "Cougar Town" repeats at 10 p.m. on those dates. The results might convince ABC to shake-up the order of its Wednesday nights, which has seen "The Middle" gathering strength in the ratings and "Cougar Town" fading. This week, "Middle" outperformed "Cougar Town" for the first time.

obviously. because middle is rely getting funnier while cougar town is very dull in the humour. Don't move modern family. That's All i Have To say. Altough,they could start the night with moder go into middle and then new comedy and then cougar town. but i don't know what they will do with that.

I don't see all that hate over Cougar Town. It's been pretty dang funny lately! Perhaps its because the title doesnt really relate with what is happening now? Either way, I still love it!

What I find interesting is that in the beginning of the season, it was the Middle that was struggling in the ratings and now it is Cougar Town. The Middle is my favorite of the 3 ABC comedies. I guess others feel the same way. Cougar Town is my least favorite of the bunch although I do think it's good.

I've stopped watching CT since about 3 wks ago. I just couldn't take it anymore, but before that, I watched every episode since day 1. The actor who plays her ex-hubby on the show is an absolute moron who isn't funny at all. He kills the show. The 2nd person who kills it is the guy who plays her son.
