I haven't made a decision yet and the actual testing won't begin for about 2 more weeks. The Dr. said the pills that I'm currently on aren't doing much and he strongly suggested that I sign up for this study. The insulin will be provided free of charge and the only thing I need to do is continue monitoring my blood sugar levels and report to them twice a week of any changes, reactions, etc.. Right now the study is scheduled to last for one year and even though it won't cost me anything, I'm a little skeptical about being a human guinea pig for an experimental drug. So should I do it or not? Your comments and suggestions are very much appreciated.

I honestly can't come up with any suggestions. No matter what you decide to do, Charles, I hope and pray it all works out for the best!!

Well if the pills you're on now aren't doing much and this insulin could help you then why not give it a try. Not only might it help you but if the results of the study are positive you may actually be helping many other people as well.
