I was recording some more themes 2 my hard drive today, but i discovered something REALLY strange.
for most of the 2nd season(this is ALL N@N airings), the beginning of the theme shows the car driving, and the camera pans as far as the window(showing the whole window) on the side. for most of season 3, they only panned the camera over to the beginning of the window, showing one edge of the frame(watch it if u dont know what i'm talking about. season 5 and later uses the one that only goes to the window frame). now heres the weird part: I tried to capture(record) to my computer the Season 3 theme(the one where the camera moves only to the edge of the window frame). i did, but when i played it back, the whole window was showing!! so i went back into the software that lets u record it, and i watched the theme again. i paused it when it showed Melville's, and saw the window frame-edge. there's a button that lets u capture that specific frame(not the window frame, the frame of video) as a picture. so I did, and the picture shows the window! i'm capturing from a VHS video tape, not the live broadcast, so why does it do this? VERY weird...(could it be...N@N?? lol) does no one know what I'm talking about? It's kinda hard to reproduce if u dont have the software...maybe I'll post a pic. Doug |

That phenomenon is caused by the fact that the TV screen cuts off sometimes as much as an inch all around the picture, whereas with a TV capture card, you see the ENTIRE picture. If you look at the earlier seasons through the TV card, you'll notice that you see even more past that window.
