did anyone else see a little bit of "fuzziness" when it came to close-ups on Lucy and Viv's faces throughout the episodes on season 1? Also when i purchased
Here's Lucy, i noticed in the opening credits when the curtain opens and Lucille is revealed to wink at the marionette puppet, that her face was a little fuzzy? Am i just a little obsessive compulsive or is there something wrong with my set? I just wanted to make sure that my DVD's weren't defective. I'm not complaining at all, i just wanted to see what you all thought. Thanks for the replies! -Seth

You have a really good eye! I noticed the same thing. That is a trick that had been around in movies since the 1930s. Often times, an actress's closeup was shot through cheesecloth. It gave an angelic hue to their face while covering up any imperfections. I believe it was a concept that was started with Greta Garbo.
