Hey, I was watching the first season of "The Lucy Show" for the umteenth time but it's still good and I got to wondering.

Do you think they'll release a colorized version of the first season one day? I read somewhere that they colorized the first season of "Bewitched" and the few seasons of "I Dream Of Jeanie". So, do you think they should release a color version of the official first season? Would the episode where Lucy and Viv are parading one the roof putting up a TV antanna look good in color? They have a color picture of them on the front of the box so, they could just use that as a reference while colorizing the episode. Also, they could use the fallowing 2 season as references for the set, cloths and everthing.

So, how do you think a colorized version of the first season would look if they did one?

Just wait for season 3. It's in color.

Season 2 is when the series started to be filmed in color but many stations didn't have the equipment to televise it in color, but the negatives and all syndicated runs have always been seen in color.

I do remember in that second season, Lucy & Viv's makeup was a little heavy and loud because of the transition to color. I think it was Viv who was wearing really heavy blue eye shadow. In later seasons, the makeup was toned down though.

They should just leave it in B&W, colorized sitcoms (ie Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie) look really bad.

The season 2 release is supposed to be in color.
