Lauren Tewes was an unknown actress when she landed the role of Cruise Director Julie McCoy. She was fired from the show and replaced with Pat Klous in 1984 after a very public battle with cocaine addiction.

Lauren, 54, is now clean and sober and living in Seattle where she does regional theater and voice-overs.

When I was 13 or 14 I had a crush on Lauren Tewes. I see she's as beautiful now as she was then.

Same here, especially in the 2nd season and after. Thought she was such a doll!!!!

And glad she was able to beat her addiction and we didnt have to see a premature obit.
