Default Sesame Street Unpaved

Those of you who have read my most recent thread know that it is about the death of a great man who was mentioned on a third season episode of "Mad About You". Clearly no one was interested enough to respond! I am a little bit surprised about this because this series catered to the Yuppie generation and the "Catcher in the Rye" was a very popular book when that generation was growing up. In any event, the number of views of this thread has stagnated at eighteen for quite a while. I have decided to commemorate this event by writing about another book written by an entirely different auther than J.D. Salinger! The book that I am writing about is "Sesame Street Unpaved". Are any of you guys familiar with this book? I thought that you might be because "Sesame Street" was a very popular series when a lot of you were age appropriate for the show. I found it an excellent read! In any event, the relationship between this book and the number of views of my last thread is that that book was published eighteen years ago this year!

Cool

I've never heard of the book Sesame Street Unpaved. (though I imagine Paul Buchman is making the movie version of it since he was a film maker) It sounds like a very interesting book. I'll have to be on the lookout for a copy of it.

The first thing that I would like to do is apologize for a mistake that I made in my initial post of this thread. I did the math in my head and "Sesame Street Unpaved" was published twelve years ago not eighteen! I am very sorry if I caused anyone out there any confusion! I was crashed for the bulk of the day yesterday and I woke up a little bit on the disoreanted side. Never the less, I am very happy to have finally thought of a topic that someone else thought was worth responding to a thread about! The guy who responded seems quite interested in the book that I mentioned in my initial post. I will be sure to satisfy his curiousity, but I think to do so on the page itself is getting a little too far off of the point of "Mad About You". Because of this, I will do my best to send him a personal message before the day is over. If this poster is reading this message and would like to hurry me up, he can send me a personal message and I will respond to it ASAP. Buy!

I checked that book out from the library last summer. Its really interesting and brings back a lot of memories! You're right, this has nothing to do with Mad About You, but I thought you'd like to have two responses to your thread, Smartboy!

I just finished posting a message on this page about why I have been out of circulation for as long as I have. In any event, like the last poster on this thread mentioned, I am very happy to have responses by two people on one thread! In any case, this thread as well as another one (that has no replies) are both sequential to one called "J.D. Salinger". I posted this message shortly after I learned about his passing. The way that I tied him in with this series is that he was mentioned in the third-season episode in which the two sisters switched purses. Incidentially, this was my favorite episode of the whole series! In any event, because of how remarkable a man I think he was, I wish that there were more people willing to post messages regarding him!

If you read the second post by me on this thread, you know that it is a retraction of what I said on my innitial post about when "Sesame Street Unpaved" was published. You will see that I did the math and realized that the book was published twelve years ago. Because of this, I will bring it to the top of the page to commemorate the twelve views of my last attempt to stimulate some conversation about this fine series!
