Posts: 63,107	'Get Smart' writer Barry Blitzer dies TV writer Barry Blitzer passed away Jan. 27 in Santa Monica, Calif., from complications after abdominal surgery, according to Variety. Blitzer, who wrote for such series as Get Smart and The Flintstones, was 80.
