Recently, I was checking supplies in my apartment to see where a lot of stuff is made. A lot of items I checked were made in China. Why is it that when our country is lacking jobs, all this stuff we have is being made overseas? I have no doubt that this stuff is made in some sweat shop at the exploitation of chinese kids. I was at an expensive shoe store last spring and the majority of these shoes were made in Brazil, Vietnam, and China. These shoes ran from $40 to $80. These shoes were also name brand like Nike and Adidas. A neighbor of mine that used to live near me served in the Vietnam War. He said he will never buy anything made in Vietnam because it is a disgrace to our country. I have noticed over the years that half the stuff made overseas is junk. I watched an episode of Step By Step recently that kind of tied into this. Frank bought a camcorder from some guy because he said he did not want to pay $500 for a camcorder in a retail store and it would only be worth 23 cents over in China.

I know someone at my church who will only buy stuff in America.
I won't shop at Wal-Mart since most of their stuff is made in China. (I'd like to find a way to get stuff made in Brazil, Korea, or American). |

We have become global now, so you are going to end up buying something that was not made in the USA.
