Cool Petticoat Junction on Family Feud

Who else loved those vintage FF episodes from the early 80s? The PB cast played the Brady Bunch cast and also the Leave it to Beaver gang. Representing PB:

Linda Kaye Henning (Betty Jo Bradley)
Lori Saunders (Bobbie Jo Bradley #2)
Gunilla Hutton (Billie Jo Bradley #2)
Meredith MacRae (Billie Jo Bradley #3)
Frank Cady (Sam Drucker)

Cool

I love the celebrity Family Feud specials. It's interesting that on the Petticoat Junction they had had two team members (Gunilla Hutton and Meredith MacRae) who played the same character. It's great that they had Frank Cady on the team. But if Petticoat Junction ever played against Green Acres poor Frank wouldn't know which team to play for! (or against for that matter)

That would've been a funny situation. On a different note, it is so sad that Meredith MacRae is no longer with us. She was such a lovely, vibrant lady - and is missed even now.

For the next face-off I need Frank Cady and ....Frank Cady? (How would that work?) Of all the three actresses that played Billie-Jo, Meredith was my favorite. She was always smiling and she seemed so genuine and so nice. She definitely left us way to soon.

Great photos, thank you!

Yes, among Petticoat Junction fans, Meredith will always hold a special place in our hearts. She was also an important cast member of My Three Sons, which I believe led to her friend Mike Minor eventually joining PJ (Mike is the son of the late Don Fedderson, exec. producer of MTS).

I remember those episodes. It was a surprise they asked Gunilla to play on FF given she was only on PJ for one season and they had Meredith on board (Meredith seems quite uncomfortable with Gunilla at times, obviously a complete stranger to her besides the awkwardness of being thrown together with your predecessor. I seem to recall she acted quite stiffly to a hug Gunilla gave her with one winning answer.) I wonder why they didn't ask June Lockhart, was there a LOST IN SPACE team playing that week? Or they could have asked Mike Minor, though that would have been awkward probably for him and ex-wife Linda Kaye.

I just bought the DVD set with the episodes on it. It was a lot of fun. Frank Cady was a riot.

What DVD set is that? A commercially available set or a bootleg? Is the Lost In Space Reunion team (with Guy WIlliams) included in the Family Feud commercial set?

I watched this a few years ago when it first came out on DVD and one of my two favorite moments of the set was when Lori Saunders gave the answer "peanut butter" and was shocked to find it among the top answers. She scored for her team big-time and seemed genuinely caught off-guard. It was a nice moment. The other was when Debralee Scott singlehandedly won the bonus round for the "Angie" team and sort of came unglued because of all the pressure and excitement.

No, unfortunately not. Neither is the Batman team.

I just watched the interview on the mpi PJ set, and Gunilla says she and Meredith were friends before PJ. They were in the same sorority and once shared an apartment. She said she was happy Meredith got the role and they were able to reconnect at various PJ reunions.

Wow, didn't know that and that makes it all the more strange concerning Meredith's decided lack of friendliness or interaction with Gunilla on the FF episodes. Maybe she was just uncomfortable with the setting or having a bad day or something.
