'The Breakfast Club' to Become A Reality Show for MTV - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

MTV is ordering a new series that plays like a reality version of 1980s classic "The Breakfast Club" and is renewing breakout hit "Teen Mom."

"If You Really Knew Me" takes five high school students through "Challenge Day," a one-day program designed to break down barriers between different social cliques. MTV has ordered 12 episodes.

That's just great, Take one of the best movies of the 80's and turn it into a total piece of crap! Why not do the smart thing and quit airing this reality junk and go back to your original purpose and air music videos 24/7? I'd rather watch this all day than one minute of some insipid reality show.

Who ever thought they would have based a reality series on The Breakfast Club, whats next a reality show based on Heathers or clueless? I know MTV has been strugglin' for a long time now , but this is just plain weird.

A while back one of the local high schools did a production of "The Breakfast Club" which I thought was kind of cool (the idea of it-I didn't see it though), because I could see it as a play, but an ongoing reality show? You're right, Zoneboy and Angiefan: totally ridiculous and John Hughes wouldn't like this at all!

You said it... but unfortunately, MTV will NEVER be what it was before and has completely tossed aside its incredible legacy and amazing history to pander to the lowest common demoninator...
