Default Small Wonder - The Complete First Season DVD Review

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la- la- la- la- la-LA! She's a small wonder lovely and bright in soft curls! She's a small wonder, a child unlike other girls... Yes, that only means Small Wonder is FINALLY coming to DVD! Small Wonder: The Complete First Season finally debuts on DVD for the first time on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 from Shout! Factory!

When genius cybernetics engineer Ted Lawson (Dick Christie) brings home his top secret invention, a Voice Input Child Identicant or better known as V.I.C.I. (Tiffany Brissette), life becomes anything but mechanic for the Lawson family. With Ted’s boss and nosy neighbors the Brindles next door, his family must pass off Vickie as a real child. It’s easy for his wife Joan (Marla Pennington) who can’t help dotting on her like a real daughter, but harder for his precocious son Jamie (Jerry Supiran) who uses Vickie to do his homework and ward off Harriet Brindle (Emily Schulman), the annoying redheaded girl next door. The series also has Edie McClurg as Mrs. Bonnie Brindle, Harriet’s busybody mother.

Great indepth review Pav and it was very cool to have you write the review, nothing against the other usual reviewers, I love them all...but my fellow NJ friend, a great review, which was truly deserved for Shout's release of "Small Wonder, Season 1".

Just a few thoughts, first.....Small Wonder actually premiered in 1985 when Channel 5 in New York was still a true independent, owned by metromedia, call letters were WNEW-TV.....as the series continued they became Fox owned and eventually became WNYW-TV.....something I still will never get over...lol...just look at how the New York WPIX is now embracing their rich history by even selling 11 Alive, Chiller Theatre, & Yulelog memorabilia. But I digress.......

Thanks TeeVeeCloset! Wow, nice that you got credited on the case!! I did indeed forgot to detail the special features menu. I'll edit that in later today. I knew you had said you contributed to the set, but I was thinking maybe you drew something for the Fan Art Photo Gallery or something.

Thank you as well my fellow NJ buddy....even though we are all so busy, I am trying to finally make some commercial use of my extensive television archives which include memorabilia, professionally shot copyright owned interviews with legendary stars, and original broadcast films, which of course companies would need to handle the legal clearance end of those. I am slowly building a relationship with some, but won't even approach the biggies, as they are as you know sometimes very difficult to deal with. Thank you for your response, my best to you as always and I continue to give sincere compliments to everyone involved in this wonderful site. It is the only one I participate in....

The trailer for season one is up on youtube. I laughed even just watching that. I can't wait to get this set. This is definitely going to be an interesting experience rewatching this cheesy 80s show.

Sounds great!! How awesome it is that Edie McClurg is on one of the commentaries. Just too bad Tiffany Brissette and Emily Schulman aren't present, but maybe they will be next time.

Bachu, just do what I do, order it from amazon canada !! They are faster than amazon usa.For example , one time I ordered something with expedited international shipping from them.It shipped on a tuesday, on friday it arrived to Greece!!For small wonder, with the expedited shipping from canada to greece, its costing me like only 3 dollars more than amazon usa. Also on amazon usa it would take at least 10 days to arrive, but with canada 4 days tops!!
