Editing missing footage into episodes.

Hey, I just got to wondering. Has anybody who owns the "I Love Lucy" DVD's ever try to edit missing footage back into some episodes using a DVD Ripper and Windows Movie Maker?

The episodes I'm talking about a the ones from season 4.
Ethel's Birthday
L.A. At Last
First Stop
Tennessee Bound

These four episodes are missing about a minute or two of footage and the missing footage is on Disk 5 as Bonus material. So, has anybody ever tried to rip these episodes off the DVD's as well as the missing footage that goes to the episodes and by using Window's Movie Maker you just edit the footage back into the episodes and then post them on youtube? I've wondered what these episode would've looked like if they had put the missing footage back in the episodes. Also, most episodes of "The Lucy/Desi Comedy" are missing scenes to but, the scenes are included on the disks the episodes are on. Only one has been restored back to it's original form and that was the episode "Lucy Takes A Cruise To Havana". All the rest of them are missing footage in each episode but, the missing footages are on the disks the episodes themselves are on as bonus material.

So, had anybody ever tried ripping the DVD's and editing the footage back into the episodes themselves? Please let me know. Thanks.
