Thumbs down Movie Reviews: "The Tooth Fairy"

Movie Reviews: The Tooth Fairy

Producers of The Tooth Fairy may feel as if they had just received a root canal after reading reviews of their movie.

"Bland and unfunny," is the way Lou Lumenick describes it in the New York Post.

Claudia Puig in USA Today says that the movie, which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, "will make your teeth ache and your skin crawl."

"No dollar under the pillow for this cavity," comments Roger Moore in the Orlando Sentinel.

The film, of course, has to do with kids' imagination, and Wesley Morris in the Boston Globe employs his own in his review: "You know what got "Tooth Fairy'' made the minute you see it: Hey, how funny would it be to put Dwayne Johnson in ballerina slippers, pink tights, and a tutu? Not very. But here's the movie anyway, scarcely more than the pitch meeting that spawned it."

See this is the type of dumb sh*t about The Rock that upsets me. He's good at doing action films like Walking Tall and The Rundown but he would rather waste his time with wack kids movies like Tooth Fairy hahahahahahahaha. What a waste. He should stick to doing action movies because that's what he's good at.

I would go to see this for Julie Andrews.

Whenever I think of Tooth Fairies (which isnt very often) I think of Imogene Coco on Bewitched. I think I will watch the episode tonight

I'm noticing a simularity between The Rock's and Hulk Hogan's movie career. Though The Rock had more success in the beginning compared to Hulk Hogan's career, they went to children's movies when they didn't become action household names.

Hulk Hogan started out with a small appearance in ROCKY III and then went on to do action duds Bimini Code and No Holds Barred.

He then went on to childrens' films Suburban Commando and Mr. Nanny.

He tried to go action again with the Thunder in Paradise movies and the short-lived tv-series based on it.

Then it's back to children again with Santa With Muscles and 3 Ninjas Part 4.

He then went back to his main source of success - Professional Wrestling.

The Rock started out with a small role in The Mummy Returns and went on to get his own film The Scorpion King.

He then went on to action flicks The Rundown, Walking Tall, and DOOM.

After Gridiron Gang he went on to do more childrens' movies with The Game Plan, Race to Witch Mountain, and now this Tooth Fairy.

They both tried to become action names and it didn't work. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rock returns to the WWE at one point.

I went and seen it on Sunday. It was a good movie. Had the predictable happy ending, but this is a Disney kids movie. I would be concerned if it didn't.
