JamesG, What's Your Opinion On Straight To Video Movies? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I post about straight to video movies sometimes at rap group Wu Tang Clan's website and i usually get ignorant responses from most people about it. What's your opinion on it? I like a lot of straight to video movies. It does seem to be more bad straight to video movies than good ones LOL. But it's the same way with movies that come to theatres. You have some good ones and some bad ones. As long as the actors are getting paid for doing straight to video movies, that's all that matters. I heard that actors make more money doing straight to video movies. Is that true?

If something grabs my interest I don't care if it's direct-to-video or not. There are a lot of great movies that I have seen that were direct-to-video or limited release.

I don't know about making more money but I think it's that you won't lose as much money.

Seagal for instance produces and controls most of his own productions so if it flops, or sells, it doesn't matter to him because he hasn't really lost anything making it.

Most people who do direct-to-videos are either starting out, or are has-beens, so any money that they get sounds good for them. They either want the exposure in something or don't realy need it because of their past career.

I won't watch a direct to dvd movie accept for the animated stuff.

Thats one........ Does that mean it didnt show in movie theaters??
