Hi Everyone,
I just had the chance to watch part of the CW Roddy case for the first time. It was on You tube which is the only place where i can access UM reruns. (I don't know if it has returned to Spike yet?) Can anyone tell me if the case has been solved? Was anyone ever arrested for the shooting, or for any of the attacks on her? ALso, does anyone know if Mrs. Roddy is still alive? Again, i was only able to see the case for the first and only time on You Tube...to my knowledge it was never aired on lifetime. Also, the You Tube video has the end portion missing, so I do not know if i have missed anything. Her story moved me, and I admire her courage in the face of the violence that she endured. For those that may not have seen this case, CW Roddy stood up to drug dealers who had taken over her neighborhood of East Palo Alto, CA, some 2 decades ago. |

Unfortunately, I don't know of any updates. Yes, CW Roddy was very heroic, and she has stood up for various causes. A very remarkable woman indeed. I believe she is still alive. I don't believe it ever aired on lifetime either. I do have the full segment version, but it's on a different region coded dvd and am not able to copy it, at least not yet.

For some reason, this is one of those lesser known, almost forgotten cases. Since CW Roddy did not die as a result of the shooting, the statute of limitations has most likely expired in this case. So, bottom line, even if they caught the person or persons responsible for the shooting, there really isn't anything that could be done is regard to prosecution 23 years after the fact.
