Question What do you think?

I went to a Christmas party recently. The party was for all our co-workers and the BIG BIG boss was there. Once I saw the big boss there (I said to myself....... I have to behave).

While the party was going on everybody was having fun. People were laughing, giggling and having a fun time. People were drinking and carrying on including the boss. The BIG BIG boss did something that shocked all the party goers. I myself was shocked.

2 co workers of mine walked in late to the party. They had no idea what had been going down. The party people were playing truth or dare when these 2 co workers walked in. A question was asked (T or D) and it pertained to 1 of the co workers who had just walked in. It was to dare the Boss. All of a sudden the mood in the room changed. I had 2 beers in me (Even though I never drink I wanted to have fun and unwind) I was egging on the co worker and the boss shot me a look. (?) Again I egged the co worker and again the boss shot me a look. (?) I wondered (why are you shooting me a look when you did something very gaudy in front of everyone)? I soon left the party.

Ever since........ this BOSS is shooting me the look like I did something wrong? I feel I did nothing wrong but have a good time. (Like everyone else). I even told my husband that I get the feeling this boss will fire me because I've gotten the look twice. I do like this job but the way this person is looking at me it's like I intentionally tried to sabotage him. What do you think?

I'm not sure I understand. So did the supervisor start the Truth or Dare game? Wow, I can't imagine having beer at a company party. Not putting you down or anything, but where I work, that is a huge no-no. We always have our parties during the workday, since my office basically never closes. Pertaining to the boss, I would have steered clear. My holiday office party was so bad this year that next year, despite the free food that comes with it, I'm taking the day off. I'll gladly elaborate if anyone wants to hear my story!

I think you always have to be careful if your boss is around. Even though you were just having fun egging on your coworker, the first time the boss shot you a look, you probably should have stopped instead of doing it once more. There is nothing you can do about it now, so just focus on your job and remaining professional.

My work holiday party was at by bosses house this year. There was alcohol offered, but I never drink anyway. Some people did and some drank more than they should have and did not make a good impression. You just have to be careful when socializing with your boss.

The boss started the truth or dare game. The party was at someone's home. That's why they had beer and drinks.

It's all good now....... I still have a job.

Good for you Pit, I was going to say maybe you should talk to him and find out if he was offended. Bosses or managers are all the same they love their power and it shows.

I agree, you shouldn't go to parties where your boss is there.

Did you talk to your boss or did he stop shooting the look to you.

EDIT: I wonder if the boss realized he made a mistake and was annoyed that you uh, were acting up even if you had 2 beers in you.

I was confused too, but I understand now. I'm glad it all worked out for you.

I think the boss should've conducted himself differently. The truth or dare game was raunchy. I never started the game. I was a spectator with my mouth open at all the shenanigans going on.

I've been to parties before where the bosses got drunk and fall down. I just think that this boss probably got a big scolding from the wife who was there. So when I went to work the boss gave me that ugly glare. Like I said I still have a job but you better believe I won't go out anywhere if the boss goes out.

Ah... his wife was there.. That's probably it..

I know that's not funny but that would kinda explain why he was a bit annoyed for awhile.
