Cool Shouldn't the Skipper have lost weight?

This thought just randomly occurred to me today. After three years of living on the Island and subsisting on diet of mainly fruit and fish shouldn't the Skipper have lost weight? What do you guys think?

People have been asking the same thing about "Hurley" in LOST.

Just one more thing the shows don't want you to notice and question.

The Skipper never was overweight. It was strictly a glandular condition! (LOL)

Actually there was probably a now-missing episode in which Gilligan hooks a large steamer trunk in the lagoon, loaded with perfectly-sealed canned hams. Those kept the Skipper eating well for a long time (and the Professor made a nuclear reactor out of the empty cans).

Not only should the Skipper have lost weight, but the Howells should have been wearing the same clothes over and over, because who would pack a full wardrobe for a three-hour boat cruise.

And Mary Ann and Ginger should have both ended up pregnant, because...well after all that time on the island alone together, I think they would have hooked up with the three bachelors (Gilligan, Skipper & Professor) and maybe even Thurston Howell himself.

Don't look to GI for realism or anything that makes sense -- it was, after all, a Sherwood Schwartz production.

I think Robert Reed would've concurred with you on this, Chris.
