The former Deal or No Deal host will join judges Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne on the fifth season of reality show America’s Got Talent. The news follows last week’s announcement that blowsy regular David Hasselhoff was leaving the show to work on his own TV show, the plans for which the Baywatch star has promised to reveal shortly.

Hmmm.... I think AGT might be watchable for me again this summer. Regis Philbin's version was awesome, Jerry Springer's version stunk, and Nick Cannon's version (so far) I'd only watch if there was absolutely nothing else on or I couldn't sleep that night.

...and since his own "HOWIE DO IT" didn't work out last season, they figured they have to keep him busy doing something besides hosting the syndicated "DEAL OR NO DEAL", so let's make him a judge on "AMERICA'S GOT TALENT" this summer, NBC executives figured. He can "juice" up anything- and he's already demonstrated he can relate to "ordinary people" taking a chance on "the big prize"....
