Default Some Touching Brady Moments

Even though the Brady Bunch was a lighthearted sitcom, there were some touching, more serious moments. Which ones come to mind for you?

My favorites are:

-When Peter confesses to breaking the vase. Watch Carol's face.

-When Mike discovers why Marcia risked punishment in "Father of the Year."

-When Carol scolds Marcia for her behavior as Juliet and pulls her out of the play. The way Marcia screams "Mom!" is very real.

-When Jesse James shoots the family in the train. Bobby was terrified.

Cool

I totally agree with "Father of the Year". You could tell it went above and beyond acting. The love between Marcia/Maureen and Mike/Bob was just so tender you knew it was 100% genuine. The moment where Mike finds out the truth is just wonderful. I actually cried when I watched this episode again as an adult. Beautifully acted and written - definitely one of the best TBB episodes!!

Cool

I thought it was touching when Peter stood up for Cindy when she was being bullied by Buddy Hinton. I think that was when I realized this blended family had become a real family.

After Cindy and Bobby watch Cinderella on TV, Bobby is convinced Carol thinks of him as a step-child, and decides to run away. When Mike and Carol find out, Carol tells him she's going with him. He says Wow!, you would go with me, even though I'm a step? Carol says the only steps around here are the ones that lead up to your room. Then they hug! Awhhhhhh!

I agree with most of the comments made. Marcia crying during the Juliet episode was amazing.

Another one was when Greg was crushed after he played badly in that high school baseball game. After Mike gives him a pep talk, Greg starts coming up with ways he can improve his play. Then he turns to Mike asking him why he didn't stop him. Mike replies "you knew to stop yourself." I can't remember the episode title, but I believe it was the one with Don Drysdale.

.......and another....How bought when the kids turned on Alice, when they thought she turned into a snitch, and she was so hurt, she ended up quitting her job. Another rare moment when Carol got angry, and let all 6 kids have it!
But then the kids found out where Alice went (she got a job at a diner), told her they were sorry, and brought her home!

I agree with all of the above especially Father of the Year and Bobby's Cinderella episode.

Also would like to add the ending of the Locket episode when Alice tells Jan that she was the one who sent the locket and also the ending of the Alice episode when Mike tells the kids she's staying.

That is a heartwarming episode. It shows how much they still care about Alice and Alice about them.
