If there is already a thread on this case, then I apologize but I could not find it.

Lynn Amos was the woman from the Washington area who was found on fire in her bed. She hung on for ten days in the hospital, but died as a result of her burns. She suffered third degree burns over 80% of her body and the toxicology report determined that her blood alcohol level was 2.5 times the legal limit. An investigation revealed that the fire was deliberately set. The bed was doused with accelerates and a cigarette butt was discovered on the bed to make it appear she was smoking in bed. Her death was ruled a homicide. Lynn had a dangerous job. She was in charge of looking at people's credit card portfolios in Mexican banks. I think she may have knew something she wasn't supposed to know. Maybe some of the clients may have been involved in drug operations and she was killed to insure her silence. The last time anyone heard from Lynn was around 10:00 PM on the night she died. She talked on the phone for a half an hour. At 3:30 AM, her body was found engulfed in flames. The killer(s) forced her to consume lots of alcohol to render her unconscious and then put her in her bed and set her on fire and through a cigarette to make it look as if it was an accident. When people contract out with a hitman to do a job, they can tell them to make it look like an accident. I believe this was the case in this murder. The killer forced her to drink a lot of alcohol and then set the fire on the bed and controlled it to only the bed to make it look like she fell asleep smoking and the bed was set on fire. This incident occurred in December during the mid to late 90's. Does anyone know of any updates?

No updates I can find. I just saw this story. Maybe there is a boyfriend she had?

The only problem I have with the "hit" theory is that these people didn't kill her. They left her alive. I mean suppose she survived the burns. Seems kind of sloppy for a hit.

Wouldn't they just shoot her and let the chips fall where they may?

I'm wondering if this was some form of torture by an ex-lover or something.

I wrote this in my original post about the hitman theorty...

When people contract out with a hitman to do a job, they can tell them to make it look like an accident.

It's possible that if it were a hit (which I'm not saying it definitely was) that they tried to make it look like an accident. Her being drunk, having a cigarette and catching the bed on fire accidentally. Its possible that the hitman thought he had killed her when he left.

If it was from an ex-boyfriend, it would be even worse they they left her alive, as she would know the persons name, whereas with a hitman, she has no idea who that person is.
