According to the seller, the "only splices is the cut away splices." I wonder if that means this is an unedited print... |

...an original 16mm CBS network print of "Hello, Mom" [12/3/55] is floating around "collectors' circles" on tape, with the original opening title [Ralph's bus racing down a New York street] featuring Gleason's announcer, Jack Lescoulie {"...brought to you by- YOUR BUICK DEALER! And away we go...!"}; a 2 and a half minute middle commercial for Buick (delivered by Lescoulie); a closing "tag" featuring Jackie inviting his cast back for a curtain call, with a brief pitch for viewers to see their Buick dealer, and "Good night, everybody!"; and original closing credits featuring the famous "matchstick figure" of Gleason behind the rolling credits, with the additional credit, "For Buick- Jack Lescoulie", and a CBS I.D. at the very end.
That could very well be the print available on ebay....

"Cut away splices" simply refers to where the commercial breaks would have been inserted. Usually stations would insert leader at these points and roll the commercials from separate tape or film. This is most likely just a syndication print. If it was a network print, the seller would label as such to increase the sales value
