MTV Is In Talks For Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" TV Series
TV: Zombies Rising at MTV with Dawn of the Dead
Wednesday, January 6, 2010 By: MrDisgusting Bloody Disgusting has exclusively learned that MTV is in talks for the rights to turn George A. Romero's classic "Dawn of the Dead" into a TV series! Zack Snyder, who directed the 2004 remake, will not be involved at this time. For those of you wondering about what kind of zombies will be used, talk indicates a wide variety (running and slow). It will be more of a spin-off than original production. Obviously, when a screenwriter is attached, there might be some changes. We'll let you know when the dotted line is signed. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/18618 |

I thought AMC was already developing a zombie series.

I think with the current vampire obsession going on that many are trying to bring the other horror elements (werewolves and zombies) to television. |
