Default Is anyone else sick to death of Britney Spears???

I mean, seriously! Is this woman even relevant anymore?! I don't think a day goes by where I don't see her annoying face and image on some TV show, or news program, or whenever I pick up a newspaper. Seriously, what the hell is so important about this chick?! She was a teen pop star who became famous for acting like a teenage prostitute. So, she had a meltdown a few years ago...SO WHAT?!?!?!?!?! She is a HAS-BEEN!!! Please, someone, make this girl go away already! She SUCKS!!!!

A PERSONAL EDITORIAL RESPONSE:

I really don't care but you answered your own question, In todays world of pop culture the defination of being relevant is how much media coverage you get, actually it has been pretty quiet on the Britney front lately, but to quote you if you say "I don't think a day goes by where I don't see her face and image on TV" then YES she is relevant....it's when you don't see coverage, than a person isn't relevant to the pop culture world.....the media covers her and others like The Kardashians because whether you like them or not, people care and channels get ratings, which equals money, so the coverage continues. Case in point, Paris Hilton is pretty much no longer relevant because she hardly gets any media attention anymore.

In the lagging CD music sales world, Britney currently has a top 10 single called "3", she has maintained making top 10 music for now over 10 years....yes she is the younger generations Madonna and will never loose her icon status....translation.....She is in no danger of being one of the Hanson or future Jonas Brothers or lets speculate where Miley Cirus will be in 10 years. Can anyone say Mandy Moore?, Jessica Simpson?, Ashley Simpson?......In the 10 year ago teen pop world explosion only Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears continue to be relevant. Even MTV cancelled their hit series "Total Request Live" which was instrumental in helping those teens in getting early exposure.

Have a more peaceful day and my sincere best to you!

Oh boy, a rare diva thread in Sitcoms Online!!! I love the drama these bring.

I'm more sick of Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey.
Especially Mariah. After Emancipation of Mimi, I actually started supporting her work again and buying her CDs like a good lamb only to be disappointed in the two CDs that came after. I really think she needs to retire from singing and become a TV personality instead because that's what route her career is headed in. There isn't a month where she doesn't pop up on some TV show with Nick. Maybe she and Nick can get their own block on Today Show and that will fill out the 11:00am hour.

Uh...when your singles keep making the Billboard Top 20, I think you're pretty relevant, but maybe that's just me?

There's such a thing as an opinion. You might like a singer, you might not. You might like a song, you might not. But to ignore a person's widespread success is kinda silly.

I hated the way the press and paparazzi treated her, but now she's doing alot better and has had one of the most successful comebacks in history. So, I think she's totally relevant. And truth be told, I am sick to death of Tiger Woods and Jon and Kate Gosseline. At least Britney is getting the coverage she deserves about her successful career comeback. And I do not think she has an annoying face. I think she has one of the prettiest faces in the world. So, no, I could never be sick of her.

I guess I'm just not watching what you're watching because I'm not hearing so much about her. Now I'll tell who I'm really tired of hearing about and that's Tiger Woods!!

I think she's a doll. She's looking so beautiful these days. Yesterday, I saw her and her sons on the cover of a magazine. The three of them looked so happy and so adorable. I'm happy she got her act together and didn't keep sinking further into the world of partying, and wind up dead.

Actually, compared to her antics of a few years ago, Britney was pretty quiet in 2009.
At least she didn't shave her head in public like that one time.

That was not pretty.

they dont really talk about her much anymore...

she seems to have gotten her life back on track, and her recent album was her most successful one in years, so...good for her.

Where were you in 2006 and 2007 when she was on the cover of almost every tabloid every week? She's barely in any tabloids anymore so what you're saying doesn't really make any sense.

And you're not a has-been when you've a top 10 single and had one of the highest grossing tours of 2009.

I can't stand her!

I can't stand Chris Crocker either, who's a die-hard Britney fan.
