Is anyone else aware that a serial killer/arsonist has confessed to the murders of the parents and the girls scroll down a few to Quadruple murders in Oklahoma and continues into another confession

I'm not so sure this guy did it...no evidence was found where he said it would be...and from reading more it seems like he's the type that confesses to a lot of crimes. (he's confessed to 13 other murders besides the one that he is in jail for)

If they could prove he is the one...then wow...that would be amazing...

It was a good find either way bleedingheart...thanks for posting it!

I know I've seen something about this as well; I think the problem with it is the same as with all serial killer confessions - it's very possible, but the police can't make sufficient connections to say with certainty that Jones is the man, and serial killers are notorious for false confessions.

Regardless, I'm fairly certain Laura and Ashley are deceased, whether by Jones or another. If their bodies are in the KS trash pits, as stated by Jones, it would be very difficult to find them.

Maybe I don't have all the info on this case, but from what I have read/seen, this just doesn't seem like a random act of violence. The trailer is in a pretty rural area, there were four people in the trailer with a ton of weaponry, and this theory has that one person did the killings. I don't know, I know it's possible, it just seems sort of odd to me.

Also, looking at the link, I don't get the whole "the girls ran to my car" statement. What? This sounds like a false confession to me, although I'm guessing.

I still think the murders were committed by someone who knew the family... the theories that are out there (drug issues/corrupt cops) are all believable.

Difficult case.. I would love to know what really happened that night.

It's been a while since I saw this segment, but I don't remember anything about a "ton of weaponry." Did they say anything about that in the show?

Agreed. I don't see how one serial killer (even with a gun) manages to take down all four people.

This seems more like the work of two people.

The fact that house was set on fire is a huge clue in my opinion.
Destroyed a ton of evidence and made it easier to hide murder.

I was referring to some of the articles written about this case (and linked on this forum) that comment on the Freemans being "outdoor enthusiast" and "avid hunters." The articles mention that they had many guns and weapons in their home.

I've always been partial to the 'corrupt cops' angle. I think there was a lot of bad blood insofar as their son whom had been killed earlier by cops goes. And then this happens....theres a link in there somewhere.

There are 2 things that make me think the cops had nothing to do with this.

1. They dropped out of the investigation immediately. There wasn't a fight over who gets to investigate it, they dropped out right away and handed it over to the state. They put everything out there, like they had nothing to hide.

2. Why take the girls?

I also rule out the girls because of everything that was left behind, and some trace of them would have turned up by now.

I lean towards the drug dealing angle. Danny pissed someone off, they met Danny that night, and murder may not have been what they came to do. Sadly I think they took the 2 girls did what they wanted with them, and killed them.

The drug dealing could have also explained partly why the cops were going after Danny. They could have heard the rumors, and wanted to catch Danny red-handed.

1. Sadly, being a drug dealer and a cop are not mutually exclusive.

2. The police may not directly be involved, but may have known about the case and even simply let it happen.

1. Sadly that is true. But in this case I don't think there was a conspiracy by the cops to take out Danny, and they didn't have anything to do with his dealing. Granted, there is the possibility that one random cop, may have been involved, but I don't think the cops had anything to with it.

2. I don't think they knew it was going to happen, or just let it happen. I go back to them immediately turning the investigation over to someone else. That strikes me as they had nothing to hide. And the town knew about the cops relationship with Danny, so that adds to them having nothing to hide. Could they have an idea as to who did this? Of course, they probably passed it on, but there's not enough evidence to nail that person, or people.

The cops in this case did the right thing. You've seen on Unsolved Mysteries with Tommy Zeigler, where the judge having been involved in a court case with Zeigler, didn't step down. The cops here stepped out. There's also the West Memphis Three, where the police refused help from other law enforcement agencies that had experience in homicides.

Like I said, I lean towards the drug dealing angle, and that the cops had nothing to do with it.

If I had a gun, and I surprised 4 people in a home who were in one room celebrating a birthday who DIDN'T have guns, and I, having entered through the front door and therefore being closer to it, am between them and the front door, well... I like my odds.

But anyway, he doesn't exactly say he took down all four, does he? He claims that while he killed Mom and Dad, Ashley Freeman and Laurie Bible made the very strange move of running outside and into his truck of all places.

That's the part that doesn't make sense to me. If you managed to initially escape, at night, and your house is surrounded by dark woods, why would you go to the ONE PLACE where he would be guaranteed to find you, even in a panic? I can't imagine that actually happened the way he said it did.

If only there were more potential murderers and robbers like you....

It is more likely that there two people. Though, there is no rule saying they both people are psychotic.

Exactly. I have never thought that the cops had anything to do with it. I think people underestimate drug dealers around here. Ever hear of a drug deal gone bad? So have I. I have never heard of a drug deal gone GOOD!

The people you are dealing with are scum of the earth to start with, seemingly Danny as well. They shovel drugs for money. Inadvertedly they have killed people, they have killed kids who tried drugs. It is not beneath a drug dealer to kill over money or anything else for that matter. These aren't pillars of the community here. We aren't dealing with Mr. Rogers or anything these are criminals at the same level as a murderer in many ways. They have no morals and it isn't outlandish to suggest dealers are erratic, impatient and self-centered.

You don't have the money? Fine. I'll kill you and torch your house and rape your daughter and her friend who is conveniently sleeping over. If I were the cops I'd have targetted Danny too.
