Default WHO THINKS THE COLTS........

Did the right thing by pulling out their starters and not going for the undefeated record?

I think that by pulling out Manning & Co is going to lose the momentum they had going into the playoffs.

Stupid Move.

I agree with you. They aren't going to play a meaningful game for a month. Is he going to sit out until then? As Herman Edwards said, you play to win the game. The only way this is justified is if they win the SB. If they don't win it, they'll never live this down. And I don't care what the players are saying, I bet they are disappointed. Manning didn't look very happy.

Also, what about the fans? The fans work their asses off to pay alot of money to see the starters in the game, not sitting on the bench. Like you said, if the colts don't win the superbowl the organization will never live it down.

I think it was a stupid move. Manning didn't look happy at all. Colts fans will never let this go.

I agree.. I think it was a bad move...

Even though there has been talk among Charger fans to have the starters play for a half then pull them and those who have nagging injuries, just not let them play.

Angry

The fans were the ones that were left out to dry. They are calling Caldwell every not so nice name in the book, from stupid to really arrogant.
You can say what you will. The players seem to stand by Caldwell decision.
Well, except for Peyton Manning it seems. He looked agitated.

Is there ANYONE who thinks this was a good idea? Lord knows I certainly don't. The Colts have a decade of history on their side on this one: When they rest their starters, they lose in the playoffs. The one year they didn't rest, they won the Super Bowl.

I agree, although I don't see it hurting their momentum, but there will be less incentive to win without the gift of being undefeated. I also think the prospect of a team entering the Super Bowl undefeated would be better for advertisers.

And yet...The Miami Dolphins of '72 are sleeping well again tonight seeing that they're STILL the only undefeated team ever in the NFL!

I awalys said that if the Pats were not undefeated in the SB, they beat the Giants 45-13

As they forfeited another game. Plus they would had lost to the Bills anyhow if the starters were there, not being used to snow.
