Does everyone remember this case? This is the case of two women named Mary Morris, both killed in my hometown, Houston,Tx within 3 days of each other. It definitely appeared to be a contract killing gone wrong when the hitman killed the wrong Mary Morris first. My question is, who does everyone think is responsible for setting up the hit? Mary's husband? Co-worker that she had problems with?

You may want to do some searching. This case has been discussed at length here before and is extremely controversial. The co-worker was (is?) a regular poster here and some family members of the second Mary Morris would occasionally post too and they would get into it with the co-worker. It got pretty ugly and I think the police even stepped in and asked the mods to delete/lock the threads since the case was still being investigated.

I have no idea who could've killed the second (Mary McGinnis Morris, I think) because it could've been either person. I do find it suspicious that the husband called her cell phone right after the attack. But on the other hand, the co-worker wrote a note that said "death to her" and that is suspicous too. I'm curious about that final phone call by Mary McGinnis Morris to 911 because it actually recorded her murder. If that call was played during the segment, it would be nightmare inducing. Also, I don't know how the police can call the first Mary Morris murder "random" because it reeks of a mistake hit.

Mike Morris is in Larry Gibson, Paul Pollis territory IMO. Guilty as sin. The co-worker who harrassed Mary in my opinion doesn't hold as much water. Did the "death to her" threat ever get proven that it was actually him? Not sure. But Mary's friend relayed the information about that in the segment and she was told this from Mary thinking that it was her co-worker. Bottom line, it's hearsay, nothing more.
Mike Morris had motive ($700,000 of life insurance), and suspicious behaviour like having his lawyer present while doing questioning. Also not taking a polygraph is a big red flag. His lawyer was smart not to advise him to take that since he had to have known Mike was full of it and would fail miserably on the test. Not to mention the phone call after Mary's frantic 911 call. You'd think Mike would be told by Mary that she had called 911 right? Wrong. She was dead. The call went through and the killer answered the phone saying he did his end of the bargain. Mike Morris claims a call never went through and that it was never answered. Phone records show differently saying a 4 minute call happened. Mike Morris is a lying douche. And a murderer. Along with Paul Pollis, Mike is at the top of the list of suspects I am 100% sure were involved in their wives disappearance/murder |

I'm sure police have done this, but when the first Mary Morris was found dead I would like to have known Mike Morris' behaviour those three days between the Mary murders. What calls did he make? Was he agitated? After all his hitmen had killed the WRONG Mary.

One reason that bolsters the botched hit on the first Mary Morris is that Mike took such a huge risk in making the call on the second Mary Morris murder. The only logical reason to do this is that he had to verify with the hitman at the scene that they killed the right woman. Mike did not want to take a chance that they killed another women by mistake. |

Im curious as to what exactly is holding this case up as far as an arrest goes. If its really apparent that Mike was behind it as we all suspect, then ana rrest should have been made by now. They have a body and cell phone records. I've seen arrests made on less information. I wonder if there is something more to this case that the public isnt aware of. Mastermind, are you back with us? |
