Tiger Woods offered Hangover 2 role

Tiger Woods has a role in the sequel to The Hangover if he wants one.

The film's director Todd Phillips joked: "We're going to try and get Tiger in the second one, why not?"

Speaking to Hollyscoop.com, Todd said comedy could be a way of helping the golfer through some of his current problems.

"Mike Tyson loved doing The Hangover as he loved f*****g with the image that everybody had of him, he knew we weren't making fun of him but making fun of the image that people projected on to him," he explained.

The movie emerged as a surprise box office hit this year, even earning a Golden Globe nod for Best Motion Picture, Musical Or Comedy.

At the moment, the director says the story for the second movie is still being worked out.

"Really we don't like to talk about it, not because it's some crazy plot but because writing is such a process that changes," he said.

"What you can expect is it will live up to the first, this is not some trying to cash in moment, we really want to make a funny movie that lives up to the spirit of the first one."
