Friday, December 18, 2009 By: MrDisgusting Some terrible news is spreading through geekland today as reports are flooding through Twitter that Dan O'Bannon has passed on. He was 63. Dan wrote the screenplay for one of my all-time favorite horror movies, Alien, and also directed the popular rockin' zombie flick Return of the Living Dead. He also worked on Visual Effects for both Star Wars and John Carpenter's Dark Star. He even scripted portions of Heavy Metal and the incredible Total Recall.
