Ok I just saw this one this weekend on Spike. This is the case about a 40 something woman that had been married for 5 months and her and her husband when to Philly on a trip. Well Judy said she going to go shopping and she disappeared. Months later her remains were found in Asheville, NC. No one knows how she got there or what happened. Some eye witness claims she saw her in North Carolina before her remains were found. This case is soooo spooky!!! So what do you guys think happended???

While in Philly, I think Judy and her husband got into a huge argument. Then out of frustration, Judy decided to take off to North Carolina. Now, why North Carolina, no one really knows. Then while she was there, met with foul play. To me, that seems like the most probable scenario.

Here's an article from 1997:
http://citypaper.net/articles/100997/cb.buncombe.shtml I think either someone stalked her in Asheville or she came across someone while hiking. She possibly could have been lured up the trail. |

This is one of the more baffling UM cases in my opinion. Its obvious she was murdered but the big question is why was she even in North Carolina?! It seems as though she went there willingly as I believe the shop owner's account of seeing her. Its makes me wonder if maybe she hitched a ride there but no one can explain why? She wasn't from Philadelphia so it would make sense if she had a fight with her husband she would have just went back to her home. Any one wondered if she met up with a friend in Philly and maybe they both went on a road trip where something happened and an argument ensued where Judy was stabbed?

OK help me with some details here so I can make sure I have the right case in mind. This is the woman that went shopping on her own with a backpack, and she was seen at an antique store before she disappeared?

So do you guys think she willingly left philly and her husband. She did have a daughter too, so I dunno. Maybe she was kidnapped, killed and just dumped in NC. Possibly a murderous trucker?

I wouldn't rule out the husband. Personally, I'd like to know where he was between the time he last saw her and the time she allegedly appeared in the store. Then I'd like to know where he was after she left that store.
Was he officially questioned at all? |

Wow. Have only seen this case once before and watched it for a second time tonight. Totally insane and completely baffling case. Somewhat similar to the Blair Adams segment. Surprised it hasn't been talked about more on these boards.

The video about the rest stop can be found under the title EVP from Rocky Point picnic area, Candler NC the picnic area is called Stoney Point in some sources including the website of the orb-ist group that posted the video. The mountain where the body was found is called Standhill |

What if the body wasn’t Judy?
To me, an identification mistake is the most obvious solution to half this mystery. |

LE has released information about this case over the years and I keep going back to one that is the most bizarre to me: the closest house to where the remains were found was described as a "haven for lesbians". It makes no sense as to why they would throw that out there other than they suspect a woman could have been responsible for killing her. |
