Question Do You Prefer Things To Be Loud Or Quiet?

Do you like things like the tv and radio to be loud or quiet?

I like to watch tv or listen to the radio with a low reasonable level. My mother and sister like the tv and radio to be loud. Since I have very good hearing I hate loud noise.

I guess in general I'd say "quiet". If things are too loud is makes me a bit jumpy.

I notice the sound at movie theaters is hard to modulate. The trailers boom out like the trumpets of Gideon, fairly assaulting my eardrums. But sometimes once the movie starts the dialogue is a bit soft or indecipherable, though that may be somewhat due to the tendency of modern actors to mumble a bit.

I usually keep my stereo and TV at pretty low volume. Loud TVs are one of my pet peeves.

I also dislike loud music and loud voices. I grew up in an extremely noisy house -- dad and mom, grandma, lots of brothers and sisters, grouchy old dog that barked all the time, everything loud and crazy. So now that I'm older, I really appreciate my quiet time.

The only exception is when I've had a few beers. That's when I turn up the music and have a good time!

Quiet, unless I'm in my car alone, then the radio tends to be on the louder side.

The quieter things are around me, the better. I get so nervous when there are crowds around or things get too loud.

I can tolerate things loud but prefer it more quiet when I'm alone or at home.

TV and my music I keep low; I don't blast it. When I was in my teens I blasted my music but I don't do that anymore.

I can tolerate having things very loud at concerts or at clubs but it gets to be annoying when people have to talk directly in your ear to hear each other.

I suppose it depends on what mood I'm in.

Medium. I play my music loud in the car but at home I'm fairly quiet like.

Depends, the TV usually quiet. Sometimes if I am playing music and I come across a tune I really dig, I cant help but to crank it up. I do that in the car too.

Yea, Monika, I agree. Sometimes when I am in crowds and children and young teens are being loud, it drives me up a wall. I prefer quiet, unless I am in my car. The radio gets turned up, especially this time of year with the Christmas music.
