Question Are you a Dog or a Cat Person?

I have two cats, and I adore them. Still, I'm more of a dog person. If I was in better health, I'd get a dog; yet dogs are higher maintenance than cats. How about you?

Cats, no contest. My two kitties are my family. They think the apartment belongs to them - they just let me sleep there sometimes.

Dogs have masters, cats have staff.

Growing up I was a dog person as that's all we had.

Now, I would say I'm more of a cat person. I like both, but I prefer cats.

I love both. They each have their own special charms.

Both. I preferred dogs when I was younger, but in the past few years I've really started liking cats, for some reason. They're so mellow and quiet, and that's a good thing.

Cats all the way. We've never had a dog. I like dogs, but could never own one - they are way too high maintenance for me.

I love my kitties to no end, but I miss having a dog. I never owned one, but I miss the Cairn terrier my mother had before she came down with cancer several years ago. If an animal loves you and wants to play and cuddle, that's what matters. Dogs are high maintenance, you have to be around to feed them, walk them, take care of them and keep them from being lonely, and if I wasn't gone from home all the time I'd love to have one. Cats are low maintenance, they take care of themselves, and they ring a little bell when they need you. I find cats completely mystifying, but it would be nice to have a little doggy around. Keep the kitties in line.

I'm a cat person though, I don't mind dogs. Cats are more self sufficient.
